Here's more info on Crabbie's provide by Jennie:
"Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer is the first alcoholic ginger beer available in the US- imported from the UK. It’s become an instant hit with people looking for something new to drink and is currently available throughout Virginia. Crabbie’s takes six weeks to make, the ginger is cold steeped in lagering tanks and then combined with spices for an amazingly refreshing drink that is served over ice.
The brand dates back 200 years – drink merchant John Crabbie was creating offerings to sell in his shop in Edinburgh, Scotland and he produced Crabbie’s Green Ginger Wine, which is still available in the UK today. Using ginger and spices inspired from the original recipe, came the innovation of Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer – which launched in the US in 2012."
Here is the press release for their Crabbie's Week events:
CRABBIE’S WEEK IS COMING TO VIRGINIA BEACH!
VIRGINIA BEACH – From Monday, June 15 through Friday, June 19 Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer, the 4.8% refreshing ginger beer, will host Crabbie’s Week in Virginia Beach. Throughout the week, people can enjoy Crabbie’s Original and Spiced Orange flavors, served over ice with a slice of citrus, at an array of events including Parties with J.C. the 7ft Elephant, Crabs and Crabbie’s, Steal the Glass Nights, Paint Nite and at samplings around town.
Crabbie’s has established, and leads, the alcoholic ginger beer category in the United States. Crabbie’s is carefully crafted from a recipe that uses the finest ginger which is cold steeped for up to six weeks and then combined with exotic spices. The result is a light bodied ginger beer with a spicy fresh ginger flavor, notes of citrus and a warming finish. Crabbie’s Spiced Orange Alcoholic Ginger Beer offers the same refreshing taste as the Original but with a lighter ginger profile and a zesty orange flavor.
The newest addition to the Crabbie’s family is the first, non-ginger option Crabbie’s Fruits: Cloudy Alcoholic Lemonade. A quenching drink (4.8%) with an aroma of fresh lemons, a zesty lemon taste and a refreshing, tart finish, Cloudy Alcoholic Lemonade is best served ice cold, drank straight out of the bottle.

The story of Crabbie’s began in Edinburgh during the early 19th century with John Crabbie. He capitalized on the access to the nearby Port of Leith providing him with ingredients from many nations, he sourced the finest ginger and exotic spices for his signature Green Ginger Wine, starting a legacy that would last for generations to come. Crabbie’s iconic elephant trademark symbolizes its heritage; 200 years ago, elephants were traditionally used to explore untrodden grounds to procure ingredients. Today, Crabbie’s is sold across the globe and produced in a variety of refreshing flavors all made to the same exceptional standards set by John Crabbie all those years ago.
As the first alcoholic ginger beer available in America, the number one question asked by consumers is, “Where can I buy Crabbie’s?” To help in their quest for Crabbie’s refreshment, Crabbie’s launched the free, Time for a Crabbie’s app. The app is available http://bit.ly/CrabbiesiPhone and http://bit.ly/CrabbiesAndroid.
Crabbie’s is currently available throughout Virginia. For more information on Crabbie’s, please visit them onFacebook, Twitter and Instagram /CrabbiesUSA and at www.crabbiesgingerbeer.com.
