Logstradamus is strictly for fun. It is a semiformal surf-related event that was created on the fundamental that the person having the most fun wins. And generally speaking, the person having the most fun is slightly immature and is dressed in mid-century European formal wear.
Yes, it is a single fin surf competition. Yes, it is a celebration of music. Yes, it is slightly bizarre. But more than anything, it is a venue for the young and old alike to unite in a mutually strange environment and laugh.
That said, there are a few things we do take seriously. The judging for instance. We are kicking things up a notch by bringing in some of the best judges high fives can buy and dressing them in judges robes. They are no longer the judging panel. They are the parliament.
We are also very proud to announce that we will be raising money for the Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters. In memory of John “Jack” Asher Kelsey, all proceeds from the Jack’s Aloha t-shirts and raffle tickets will be going directly to help the awesome doctors, nurses and staff at CHKD give little dudes like Jack the longest, happiest life possible.
A semi-formal, single-fin surf competition. This year is going to be epic. More details to come - visit www.logstradam.us for general info.
